EVENT DATE: SEPTEMBER 21, 2008

Human rights leaders, activists and visual artists will gather on September 21st in Brussels, Belgium, the headquarters of the European Union, on the scenic grounds of the Cinquantenaire to form a dramatic aerial art image that can only be seen from the sky.

Amnesty International has teamed up with Circle Up Now to create and document this inspiring experience that will also function as a "visual petition".

The aerial artwork, based upon a sketch by beloved Belgian artist Jean-Michel Folon, will not only serve as an artistic expression of liberty and hope, it will double as a potent reminder to the leaders of the E.U. that their citizens demand accountability for any torture or rendition committed within their country's borders.
